It wasn’t enough for him to represent New Zealand in cricket, mostly via the indoor game, for 17 years. He also consistently hit the highest international rankings.
Matt is the only indoor cricket player in the history of the game to be named in the ‘world’s best’ team three times, and to win a world cup most valuable player award as well.
Having trained his first professional team at age 25, he went on to win head coach roles for national indoor cricket teams in England and United Arab Emirates. Matt’s deep knowledge, skills and his genuine concern for the people in those teams ensured they were phenomenally successful under his watch.
He continues to train some of New Zealand’s most outstanding cricket players.
